Rebecca Schroeder- Executive Director
Email: Executive.Director@SCCASA518.org
I began my career at SCCASA in 2011 as a Prevention Educator. Over the years, I had the opportunity to broaden my knowledge by working with other organizations, which enriched my perspective and deepened my understanding of the challenges and opportunities within this field. I was fortunate to return to SCCASA as Executive Director, bringing with me both new insights and a renewed commitment to the organization’s mission. What I find most rewarding about my work here is the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on our community, lead a dedicated team, and contribute to initiatives that support individuals in their journey toward healing and empowerment.

Hi! I am a Prevention Educator here at SCCASA. I have been working here for about five years now. My favorite part about my job is that I get to work with many students, grades K-12, throughout our county. We teach prevention and character development through our Too Good For Drugs curriculum. I am very grateful to be a part of an organization that empowers our youth with the necessary skills to help keep them on track towards reaching their goals and living a healthy life.

I have been working as a Peer Engagement Specialist (recovery coach) at SCCASA since 2019 and have been on the Opiate Task Force since 2017 after years of involvement in AA at the district level. I have been in recovery myself since 2015. In 2006 I moved to Carlisle following a career in retail management and now enjoy working with others suffering from substance use disorder.

My name is Patrick Costello, and I joined the SCCASA team in July of 2025 as a Family Support Navigator. I’ve been in recovery since 1991, and I lost a son to an overdose in 2017. I’ve also worked with low-income families for most of my career. It’s because of these things that I have a passion for helping families who are struggling with addictions. I have seen first-hand what addiction can do to a family and I am here to help in any way I can. I have learned many lessons over the years and hope that I can use them to help others. I have made many connections over the years through my involvement with The Joshua Project and am glad to consider myself a part of this community. Please feel free to reach out to me.

While at the Youth Center I interacted with and offered assistance to many children from diverse backgrounds. I became very involved with the community and hosted many fundraisers in hopes of bettering our community and Youth Center.
